A Link! A Link!

I follow fellow author J. A. Konrath on Twitter, and I've followed his blog for some time.

The reason I mention this is that Mr. Konrath has been writing lately about the dispute between Amazon and Hachette Publishing about "agency pricing".

Many angry words have been said on both sides of this dispute, mostly by authors.

In the blog post that I'm going to share with you, much information concerning author's compensation for the work that they create is discussed, along with opinions from many independent authors...and many "traditional" authors.

Please take a few moments to read the post.  You'll find it very interesting.

After you’ve read it, please

I'm Totally Blown Away

Wow.

Twitter is great!

I’ve gained 61 followers in less than 48 hours, and I’m so proud of each one of them!

Many of them are independent authors, just like I am, and that’s fine with me!  But, there are many others that are readers, game creators, publishers, moms, dads, and other good people.  Some are from faraway places, like the United Kingdom and South America.

Each one is a blessing, and I’m grateful for every one!

I should have done this a long time ago.

A big, heartfelt ‘thank you’ to each and every one of my followers.  You’ve all made me realize that writing is well worth the time and effort that it takes, that fans can be worldwide, and that readers can come from all walks of life.

I’ve begun ‘tweeting’ things like cover pictures, comments, and one-or-two sentence lines from my stories…lines that I like, and, hopefully, are interesting teasers of each story.

So, again, if you haven’t joined me on Twitter, follow me at @mrtmbilderback  #justicesecurity  #nicholasturner

I’ll be happy to see you!

I Can Get It For You Wholesale

It’s a discount life for me!

As you all should know by now, my books are available as ebooks from Amazon.com, paperback books from Amazon.com, and audiobooks from Amazon.com, Audible.com, and iTunes.

But, did you know that paperbacks are also available from CreateSpace.com?

All of my paperback editions are printed through CreateSpace.com.  CreateSpace is Amazon’s “print-on-demand” place for books, movies, and music.  Many, many independent publishers are available through CreateSpace, and, since it’s owned by Amazon, any commerce done there is 100% guaranteed and as safe as doing business on the regular Amazon site.

CreateSpace has web stores for each of its artists, authors, and publishers.  Anything published by CreateSpace is available here…including my print editions!

As a contributor, I’m able to offer discounts on my books…but only if they’re purchased through the CreateSpace website.  So, if you’d like to have a print edition of any of my available titles, please go here:

Once you’re there, choose the books you want.  Then, at checkout, apply this code:  TCYN3UAU

That code will give you a 25% discount from the list price on each title!  This is good for followers of my blog, and my friends on Facebook…or to anyone else you’d like to pass along a good discount.

And, if you have a retail establishment, or a library, or just want my books in quantity (!), I can arrange great volume discounts for paperbacks…like maybe 35% off for 10, 40% for 25, or 50% for 50, of each title…just click the “contact T. M. Bilderback” link here on this blog, or send me a private message on Facebook.  Or, heck, just email me:  michaelb1102@gmail.com

I hope you’ll take advantage of these discounts, and I hope you’ll pick one up to read…you just might enjoy it!

Happy Memorial Day!

Grade "A" Prime Stuff!

I mentioned in my last entry that something was coming.

No, it isn’t the new Godzilla movie…

I’m working on a collection of short stories.  This collection will gather all of them in one volume.  It will be available in both print and Kindle ebook versions, and is tentatively titled Greatest Hits.

The volume will contain all four of the Justice Security short stories (Someone Saved My Life Tonight, Saturday In The Park, MacArthur Park, and The Little Drummer Boy), the first Sardis County novella Don’t Come Around Here No More, along with Hot Child In The City, Gold, and The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald.  Also planned for this volume are two stories featuring the blusterous Colonel Quentin James Abernathy, The Lion Sleeps Tonight and Heart Of Glass.

Right now, The Lion Sleeps Tonight is entered into a writing competition…as soon as a winner is determined, that story can be published elsewhere for your entertainment.  Heart Of Glass is under construction right now…and a fast-paced story it is!

If you are interested in the paperback editions of this story collection, it will be the first time that both Abernathy stories, Gold, and Hot Child In The City will be available in a “printed” version.  All four will, of course, are, or will be, available individually as Kindle ninety-nine-cent stories.

The working title of the collection again is Greatest Hits…coming soon!

Also, we are still waiting for the audiobook production company to finish their “validation” process of two stories:  Hot Child In The City, performed admirably by Jasmin Rhea, and If You Could Read My Mind – A Nicholas Turner Novel, performed by Meagan Cunningham.  Both are outstanding performances, and should be available through Amazon, Audible, and iTunes very soon!

That’s all the news that I have right now.  Don’t forget:  Summer is prime reading time, so…
