Better Late Than Never...Maybe...

My apologies to you for being so quiet this week.

I haven’t been quite up to speed.

I work part-time at a local community college, and classes began a couple of weeks ago.  The first part of a semester is a harrowing experience when you’re dealing with so many students!

Anyway, here’s what’s going on in the T. M. Bilderback universe.

Work continues on Hell’s Bells – A Nicholas Turner/Justice Security Novel.  The story is the team-up between the two series.  I’ve posted on my Facebook Author Page about this new novel, and here’s what I said:  I'm working on "Hell's Bells - A Nicholas Turner/Justice Security Novel" right now. This book is the long-awaited sequel to my first novel, "If You Could Read My Mind - A Nicholas Turner Novel", and is the big team-up between the two series.
When this book is over, there will only be one of the two series left, and not all of the characters in these two series will make it to the end of the novel.
Who survives? I can't tell you. Why is it named after the AC/DC song, "Hell's Bells"? I can't tell you that, either. But I CAN tell you that it will be one of the most unusual entries in either series!

And, with that said, I’m hoping that I can find time to write faster with this one.

The “Secret Justice Security Story” is still a secret.  I’m hoping that I have news about it soon, because things happen in it that are referenced in Hell’s Bells.  And the “Secret” story is going to be a blast!

The next story in the Tales Of Sardis County series is titled, I’m Your Boogie Man.  This story explores more of the details of events that happened in Junior’s Farm, and there is a serial killer loose in Sardis County.  Sheriff Napier has to figure out what’s going on pretty quickly!

Even more interesting news:  I have signed up most of my stories to Babelcube.  Babelcube teams authors with translators, who agree to translate stories into other languages.  My short story, Gold, is being translated into Spanish right now by MarĂa Laura Castro, and my short story collection, Greatest Hits, is being translated into Portuguese by Vitor Mendes!

I’m excited about this development, because I experimented with a translation program for The Lion Sleeps Tonight, and while my multi-lingual friends have assured me that the translations are close enough, I feel better working with a real translator.

Here is the link to Apple’s iTunes version of Don’t Come Around Here No More – A Tale Of Sardis County.  It’s narrated by Patrick Peterson, and is a fun listen!

Also, here is the link to the Apple iTunes eBook version of Junior’s Farm – A Tale Of Sardis County.  It’s available at lots of places that sell eBooks, so check it out – I think you’ll enjoy it!

Have a great weekend, and…

What To Do With A Long Weekend

It’s Labor Day weekend.

The excitement mounts, the blood starts rampaging through your veins, and, suddenly…

It’s over.

You’re left wondering, “Where the heck did the time go?”

A friend of mine said that his work was sheer hell, and weekends were sheer hell of boredom.  Now, I know for a fact that he’s got a couple of novels in the works, so I answered his Facebook post with this:  “You’re already sitting at your computer…write something!”

That’s my suggestion to all of you.  Don’t waste your time this long weekend with boring television or vapid Internet surfing!

If you aren’t inclined to write, then pick up a book and read.  It’s as simple as that!  A book can take you to faraway places, or right around the corner.  It can introduce you to people with good character…and people that are absolutely evil!  It can make your heart race with excitement, or make it melt with a heartwarming kiss.  It can teach you how to do something, or tell you about something that happened in the past.

So, pick up a book.  It doesn’t have to be a space-sucking paper edition, either…an eBook can do those things, too.

Speaking of eBooks, I’ve mentioned that I still have three stories that are Amazon-exclusive, simply because I forgot to “uncheck” the box that made them that way.  So, as a result, I have one novel in a Kindle Countdown Deal right now.  Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go – A Justice Security Novel is on sale right now for 99 cents, through Monday.  Beginning Monday, it will still be on sale, but for $1.99.  Next Friday, it goes back up to its regular $2.99 price.

Also, beginning Monday morning, September 1st, The Best Of Justice Security Volume 1:  A Three-In-One Omnibus has its own Kindle Countdown Deal.  It begins at $2.99, remains that way for three and a half days, then is still on sale for $3.99.  The following Monday, it returns to its regular $4.99 price.  So, with that, you’ll be able to get all three Justice Security novels for the price of one!  Good deal, right?

Check ‘em out, and…

I Got Some New Stuff!

My excitement is growing by leaps and bounds!

I have two new things to talk about today!

First up, the new Audiobook!  Don’t Come Around Here No More – A Tale Of Sardis County is now live, and available for your listening pleasure!

It’s the first story in my series Tales Of Sardis County.  It’s a fun romp that introduces Sardis County, a place where the magic is real.  The basic plot of this story is:  three high school seniors, attempting to complete their social studies project, discover an open doorway to Hell in an old man’s basement.

Don’t Come Around Here No More is narrated by Patrick Peterson.  Patrick has narrated several of my stories, including the short story, The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald.  He’s done a tremendous job on this one, and I think you’ll enjoy listening to it!  It’s available now at Audible.com and Amazon.com, soon to be at Apple’s iTunes.  Click here for the link to Amazon.

The second big piece of news would have happened Sunday, but Amazon has had some glitches in its KDP system, which caused a delay in the U.S. release until late yesterday.

Junior’s Farm – A Tale Of Sardis County, my new novel, is now available at Amazon for your Kindle reading.  It’s also available at Barnes & Noble, Apple’s iBooks, Kobo, Scribd, DriveThruFiction, and Smashwords.  This was a fun novel to write!  It’s the second story in the Tales Of Sardis County series, and features some new characters.  It’s more of a romance this time, with magic thrown in…and some threats to the romance from some members of the Giambini crime family!  The last time the Giambinis appeared was in the Justice Security novel, Jackie Blue.  The front page of my website has links to all of the places that offer this novel, but if you want the Kindle version from Amazon, just click here.

There you have it – two pieces of exciting news from the T. M. Bilderback universe!  I hope you enjoy the stories as you…

When You're Hot, You're Hot

Country singer Jerry Reed had a huge hit in 1970 titled, “When You’re Hot, You’re Hot.”

That’s how I’m feeling right now.

It’s ridiculous to feel that way, but I’ve finished two novels in the course of about a week.  One took a month and a half, and the other had been close to being done when I put it on hold to write the month-and-a-half one.

What a feeling of accomplishment that is to me!

The novel that I just finished, Junior’s Farm – A Tale Of Sardis County, is coming out this week, and the print edition is already available at Amazon right now.  The eBook is ready to go anytime, as soon as I receive the cover that I commissioned.

The other novel is still “in the works”, even though I’ve finished writing.  It’s the new Justice Security novel, and it’s a whopper!  I’m hoping that news about it comes soon!  Right now, all I will say is that it’s a novel of around 42,000 words, and the bad guy is Esteban Fernandez.  You die-hard fans won’t be disappointed!

In the meantime, I’ll be working on some other projects.  I don’t have all of my projects listed on the front page of my website, so don’t be surprised if the numbers on the progress meters don’t change every day.  It only means that I’ve spent some time writing on another project.

Patrick Peterson has completed the recording of the Audiobook version of Don’t Come Around Here No More – A Tale Of Sardis County.  It should be available sometime in the next week or two.  I can’t wait for you to hear it – it’s a blast!

So, yeah, I’m feeling pretty hot right now.  I know that there are other authors that write faster than I write, and that’s okay.  But, I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished this year, and proud of what I’ve given you, the reader.

Know why?

I’m an entertainer.  That’s what you pay me to do.

So, please…

Ya Gotta Keep At It!

Do you remember when I would encourage you to write something every day?

I still encourage that, and I’m a firm believer in it.

Do you know why?

Practice makes perfect.  The more you write, the better you get, and the faster you get.

My previous novels were being completed approximately one every thirteen to fifteen months.  This year, I will have completed two.  Minimum.  And it’s quite possible that a third one could be done, but I may be too hopeful in that respect.  But, at least one more short story could be done by the end of the year.

Hey, who am I kidding?  If the story flows properly, that third novel could make it this year, because there are still four months left!

So, now you know why I encourage you to make time for writing.

Write something, even if it’s only a sentence, or a paragraph.  It doesn’t take much.  Before you know it, you’re lost in the story, your fingers are flying across the keyboard, and what you’ve written is growing at an alarming rate.

Junior’s Farm – A Tale Of Sardis County is almost done.  I should have the writing finished within the next couple of days, and, then, it belongs to you, the reader.  I’ll give you a clue:  this story is more romance than magic or action.  I hope that you, as a reader, enjoy it.

And to my followers on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, et al:  Sorry.  I don’t take a lot of time on those forums, because I am trying to write faster.  Don’t feel ignored, and don’t take it personally.  I’m just busy.

And I like it.

It give you the chance to…
